How we curate
Quarter exists to reduce noise.
There are thousands of ESG resources online. Most fall into one of three categories: enterprise platforms built for large organizations, general blog content or gated tools designed to start a sales conversation. Quarter focuses on what's missing in the middle: working tools that internal teams can pick up and use without specialist support.
What we look for
Every tool is selected against the same criteria.
Usability
An internal team should be able to download it and start using it without specialist setup or complex onboarding.
Structure
The tool provides a clear framework or working starting point. It helps teams move from intention to execution.
Relevance
The tool addresses a real ESG task: double materiality, supplier engagement, KPI tracking or reporting structure.
Clarity
The content is understandable without heavy technical interpretation.
Quarter is not a directory of every ESG resource available online.
We leave out enterprise software platforms, tools that require a sales demo before you can use them, high-level thought leadership without actionable output and anything that's primarily a marketing asset dressed up as a resource.
If a tool creates more complexity than clarity it doesn't belong here.
Some tools on Quarter may include affiliate links. Compensation does not determine which tools are selected or how they are described. A tool has to meet the criteria above before it is listed. Full stop.
Ongoing review
Regulations evolve. Tools change. Pricing updates. Quarter is reviewed periodically to make sure the resources listed remain relevant and useful for mid-sized internal teams. If a tool no longer meets the criteria it is removed.
